Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS show Mom. Calvano was born in California, and initially was interested at competitive gymnastics. Later, she decided to pursue a career in acting. She made her screen debut in the year 2010 with an episode of the CBS show "NCIS". In the crime drama biographical movie J Edgar, she made her debut in front of the camera a just a few months later. Through the years, she's proven herself as one the most promising actors in today's field. In the 'NCIS' series, her performance' was nominated by the Young Artist Award 2011 for the best performance of a television Series with a guest Actress between the ages of 11-15. In 2013, she was nominated once again for the Young Artist Award. This was for her performance in Disney XD's "Kickin' It'. Calvano was a part of Mom's initial three seasons. She was also a guest on several occasions throughout the fourth. In 2015, her role in 'Mom" earned her an award called the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
